"Heil Hitler" in the Classroom
Solon Middle School turned Cultural Awareness Day into a target on Jewish kids
A 12-year-old wore his kippah and a "Shalom" shirt to celebrate who he is. A classmate answered with a Nazi salute in the middle of class. Other Jewish students got "Heil Hitler" chants and jokes about Jews and money, on a day meant to honor every culture.
‼️ Students say this isn't new: slurs, Holocaust jokes, and teachers who laughed it off. Solon calls it a "learning opportunity." Jewish kids call it school.
