Keep extremist activism out of Chicago public schools classrooms
CPS teachers are receiving professional-development hours—and can receive CPS-funded extended-day pay—to participate in a five-session, year-long CTU-hosted Palestine workshop. Two sessions have already taken place, with three more scheduled through June 2027.
The workshop explicitly asks teachers how they will use what they learn about Palestine in their classrooms, while its earlier program included extreme anti-Zionist material and an instructor who shared posts defending Hamas as “legitimate resistance.”
Taxpayer and tax-exempt resources should educate children—not bankroll infusing extremist political activism into classrooms!
